Phyllis L. Conti
1912 - 2010
A native of Ventura CA , Phyllis passed away surrounded by her family on July 15, 2010, at the age of 98. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years, Reno and son Robert. She is survived by her devoted son Eugene, daughter-in-law Barbara and cherished grandchildren Elizabeth, Matthew, & Gina Conti. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and other loving relatives.
Phyllis volunteered at the Ventura Library while in high school and worked there until she met Reno during WWII. They married and came back to San Francisco where they started a family and purchased a brand new home in Lakeshore Acres. Phyllis was one of the original parishioners of St. Stephen Church and was active in the Women’s Guild and parish school. She was a homemaker and took care of her mother for many years. After Reno retired they enjoyed dining out and traveling. When Robert became ill, she took care of him. She was interested in genealogy and enjoyed sharing her family memories with her grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit on Monday after 4:00pm and are invited to attend the Vigil Service, also on Monday, at 7:00pm, and the funeral Tuesday 9:15am from the chapels of Valente Marini Perata & Co., 4840 Mission St. , SF., thence to St. Stephen Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am. Committal to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery .
