Lydia Cassetta
1922 – 2010
Lydia Cassetta; devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend; passed away on July 8, 2010. Born in San Francisco on March 13, 1922, to Luigi and Maria Gillio, she lived her entire life in the City. Lydia worked many years of dedicated service for the Archdiocese of San Francisco Department of Catholic Schools. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Cassetta; and is survived by her loving children, Joe and Marisa Cassetta; her dear sister, Adriana Pahl; Joe’s wife, Cathy Cassetta; and Marisa’s fiancé, Harry Durrie.
Family and friends are invited to attend vigil, funeral, and commitment services. A Rosary Service will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2010, 7:00 p.m. at Valente Marini Perata & Co., 4840 Mission Street in San Francisco. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 14, 2010, 11:00 a.m. at Mission Dolores Basilica, 3321 16th Street, San Francisco, followed by internment at Holy Cross Cemetery, 1500 Mission Road, Colma.
