Life Legacy
Ida Gamba
Passed away peacefully on July 6, 2010, at the age of 80. Affectionately known as “Zia,” Ida is a native of Verbicaro, Cosenzia, Italy and joined her husband in the United States on March 10, 1955. She is predeceased by her parents Petro & Raffaella Miraglia and her siblings, Umberto, Ernesto, Domenico, Marietta, & Rosina. Survived by her beloved husband of 59 years Arcangelo; her loving children Serafino & Rosetta; her dear niece Rafelina (Anthony) Maglio; she served as a dear Nonna to Anthony Salvatore; her great-nephew Guliano; as well as, numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews in the Bay Area and in Italy.
Ida loved to garden and was a wonderful cook. She was constantly surrounded by people, whom she loved and always took care of. She will be missed and forever remembered.
Family and friends may visit after 8:30AM on Sunday and are invited to attend the vigil service also on Sunday at 7:00PM and the funeral Monday at 9:45AM from chapels of Valente Marini Perata & Co., 4840 Mission St., SF., thence to Sts. Peter and Paul's Church, 666 Filbert St., SF, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30AM. Committal to follow at the Italian Cemetery in Colma.
